Dalton Jodrey Plumbing & Heating Ltd was started in 1973 by Dalton and his wife Debbie. Dalton wanted to work in plumbing and heating, and some years later, he geared up a septic tank pumper truck. At that time, he was the only pumper around. After a lot of hard work, his business took off and he gradually expanded his business to include portable toilets and a Terra Blaster (regenerated field beds), which complemented his septic business.
Along the way, his family expanded to include two sons, one of whom went into the business with his father, while the other son pursued his own interests. Mark graduated high school in 1998 and immediately started the plumbing apprenticeship program. Four years later, he wrote his exam and received the interprovincial Red Seal, allowing him to work anywhere in Canada. Mark has been in the business since he was 18 years old and is involved in every aspect of the company.
As his parents vacationed in sunny Florida, he would take care of the business in their absence, and when Dalton "retired" in 2017 (we use that term loosely), Mark bought the business from his parents. Mark has continued to work on its growth and his knowledge of the trade. Many hours of hard work and learning have made the business what it is today.
