The History of Dalton Jodrey Plumbing & Heating Ltd

Dalton Jodrey Plumbing & Heating Ltd was started in 1973 by Dalton and his wife Debbie. Dalton wanted to work in plumbing and heating, and some years later, he geared up a septic tank pumper truck. At that time, he was the only pumper around. After a lot of hard work, his business took off and he gradually expanded his business to include portable toilets and a Terra Blaster (regenerated field beds), which complemented his septic business.

Along the way, his family expanded to include two sons, one of whom went into the business with his father, while the other son pursued his own interests. Mark graduated high school in 1998 and immediately started the plumbing apprenticeship program. Four years later, he wrote his exam and received the interprovincial Red Seal, allowing him to work anywhere in Canada. Mark has been in the business since he was 18 years old and is involved in every aspect of the company.

As his parents vacationed in sunny Florida, he would take care of the business in their absence, and when Dalton "retired" in 2017 (we use that term loosely), Mark bought the business from his parents. Mark has continued to work on its growth and his knowledge of the trade. Many hours of hard work and learning have made the business what it is today.

Meet Our Staff

He has been with our company as a plumber since 2017. He worked with us previously as Portable Restroom Operator, aka the first "Toilet Boy". You will occasionally see him drive the large pumper truck. The polite charmer...

He has been with our company since 2015. He is our current Portable Restroom Operator. He is a jack of all trades with considerable good experience and assists with all aspects of the company. Also terribly shy...

He is the second-generation owner/operator and is highly skilled in all aspects of the business to work as a plumber, septic truck and portable restroom operator and with Terrablaster. With over 20 years of experience, Mark is known for his ingenuity and problem-solving skills. He sucks at paperwork, but his custom plumbing solutions are impressive.

She is Mark’s cousin and has been with the company since 2010. She is the Office Manager, answering service and ringmaster of this sometimes crazy crew of staff.

Joey Vacuum Truck Driver

He is our current vacuum truck driver. He is a volunteer fire department Captain, who is well liked by clients for his friendly and helpful manner. Made the National News, for accidentally taking the company pet chicken “Henrietta” for a ride in the vacuum truck …

He is the newest and youngest plumber to join our team, a 2nd year apprentice with some promising skills. He is a little bashful, but patient and friendly. Our clients refer to him as “that nice young man
